Just one more conspiracy of coincidences for us tinfoil hat people to mull over. Mark Connell, Rove’s go to IT guy, dead from plane crash; just before he was suppose to squeal.
This is some very curious, and scary, stuff. I read that when Sen. Paul Wellstone’s plane went down in October 2002, he was preparing a case for impeachment against Junior and Dick, bolstered by documentation and witnesses willing to go on record and testify before Congress as to the vote fraud in the Florida 2000 vote count. Obviously, it all disappeared when he died.
The guy who wrote “Fortunate Son,” James H. Hatfield, the true story of Dubya’s past that the Bush family frantically, and successfully, kept from the bookshelves and a long stay on the best-seller list — remember St. Martin’s Press recalled and destroyed all copies of the damning biography and Soft Skull Press then published it in much smaller numbers too late to affect the election? — also mysteriously died a ‘suicide’ although some said he had new and provable information on the Little King’s cocaine use, allgedly as late as the 1980s, and his ‘secret’ trial and community service sentence that the Bush family said was for drinking while driving. Hatfield was planning an expnded version of FS when he was found dead in July 2001. Just imagine what effect a more comprehensive edition with new evidence would have had on Bush’s 2004 reelection campaign.
Then there’s investigative journalist Gary Webb who broke the story of the CIA’s connection to cocaine trafficking in the inner city, who allegedly died a suicide under strange circumstances — he apparently fired two bullets into his head to kill himself and left a note on his door to call the paramedics. How does a man shoot himself in the head twice, and why would a suicide leave a note to call the paramedics?
I am also reminded of the sudden 1965 ‘suicide’ of Dorothy Kilgallen when she revealed that she had new facts that would blow the top off of the JFK assassination. Curiously, she, like Hatfield, also died from an overdose of drugs and alcohol and all of her files on JFK’s death had mysteriously disappeared.
Not that I like to promote conspiracies, but the details of these deaths are just plain bizarre.
Exactly, R.S. And over at Chimp I noted one of the first posts reacting to this news wire item was some absurdist attempt to make fun of the rather straight forward news item. I have no problems with those who insist that the Moon landing didn’t happen, for example. But those who point out oddities and events that seem to go beyond the norm? We need the” desperately . Otherwise whatever status quo story the media and the government push becomes supposed fact. People seem to think the MSM is always the adversary of gov. That’s the exception. As of late: always.
One of the labels I’ve enjoyed that has been tossed the way of anyone who knee jerk responds to anything that even sniffs of conspiracy thinking, is “the conspiracy of coincidences.” All these “coincidences” that “just happen” to point to something other than what is being sold as the truth, and nothing more, are the man behind the curtain. He’s not there. Bend down and pray the might Oz doesn’t smoke you with a bolt of lightening.
A condition I suspect at least one of these folks: JFK, Wellstone… died of.
The problem with the Big Media is that they NEVER see a conspiracy, although Fed and state prosecutors arrest and convict people for conspiracies all the time.
We know now, for instance, that there was a conspiracy to ‘get’ Valerie Plame for her husband printing a story that exposed BushCo’s lies about Iraq’s nuclear capability. We know now that there was a conspiracy to provide Colin Powell with misinformation to present to the UN. We know now that Cheney, Rumsfeld and others conspired to authorize torture in defiance of the Geneva Conventions and other international treaties. Yet, if you had, as lefties on the Inner Tubes did, mentioned any of these things at the time as conspiracies, the BM would have ridiculed and dismissed you.
