Many years were lost in the fight against CAFO’s in our area, because we thought this was the problem with people complaining about farms. And it is to some extent. Certainly in the area where I grew up, the problem was city folk, moving to the country, and then complaining cause the country sometimes smelled like manure, and the noise was different (cause cities sure ain’t quiet!)
Since this farmer’s animals are having sex outside, I’m assuming he’s not a CAFO, and it doesn’t look like a feedlot.
When a multi-thousand animal operation moves in, even farmers are driven out by the stench, heavy equipment traffic, illness and noise.
