It has been said that the Republicans and their rich benefactors, along with the Romney campaign, had operatives in the crowd that encouraged the recent killings so Mitt could turn around and blame it on Obama. Some say Mitt Romney is actually in favor of Mormons returning to their heritage: polygamy. And also returning to refusing to let Blacks become Mormons. There have been hints that he’s also in favor of forced marriages, and that his wife keeps little boys in the many cellars in their many houses for “pleasures” unmentionable. Some say Mitt, meanwhile, sympathizes with those who recently attacked and murdered people in our embassy. They also say Romney is known to travel in secret to frequent midnight Klan meetings and even participate in lynchings. Underneath the floor of one of the outbuildings in his many mega mansions it has been reported that there is Nazi memorabilia… and secret plans to export what’s left of the old ovens to America and fire them up again.
What? You find the statements in the previous paragraph outrageous, irresponsible, libelous and some to be outright slander?
Good for you. You have proven yourself more moral, more ethical and a damn sight better of a human being than the management at FOX, Rush Limbaugh, Glen Beck, Michelle Bachmann, Mitt Romney and all of the crazed part of today’s Right Wing.
A recent comment by candidate Romney, followed by a self satisfied smirk, once again highlights how the looney bin faction of today’s Republican Party is willing to say anything. Since it was stated by Mitt Romney it proves just how low he is willing to go, and his willingness to pander to fanatics to the point of accusing a president. A president who condemned the actions of protestors and possible terrorists. Accuse him of siding with, and supporting their actions. Essentially Romney accused the president, and his administration, of encouraging and supporting murderers and terrorists.
What, Mr. Romney? As long as we’re willing to head further down this rhetorical dark alleyway, you think George Bush actually did direct the planes on 9/11?
Oh, wait: that’s something your party would object to if some Dem. running for president said it. Over the top, slanderous and outrageous statements are only acceptable if your side commits these sins. Otherwise, you seem to agree, “Everyone pile on!”
I know: Romney is simply giving one more big wet kiss to a portion of the Republican base who might best volunteer to stay in a rubber room until they can be cured of their rabid moon-bat-ery.
Good luck.
Leave a note for tell us where you want your bones buried.
How sad.
Sniff, sniff.
Yes, Mitt is a willing participant in the ongoing freak show that Republican Party is becoming as Teabaggers demand an ideological: really theological, purity not unlike Jim Jones demanded of his followers. Only instead of corpses, this Kool Aid turns them into talking point spouting zombies.
The problem with the way the glazed eyed, fanatic, faction of the Republican Party “discusses” issues was typified by a caller to the Thom Hartmann program a few days ago. The caller started out his rant, and by the way neo nuts: when you call any talk show program if anyone has a right to use it as some podium for a non-ending rant it’s the host, not you, so don’t bitch when you get potted down, even shut down… Again, the caller started his rant with “everyone knows,” and “it’s obvious,” that “Obama has an anti-America agenda.” Thom asked him for just one example: I repeat “one.” He couldn’t. His answer to repeated requests: “all of it,” “any of it,” and the typical evasion meant to distract the mentally weak: “go look it up, you’ll see.”
No: you made the claim, prove it, or continue your attempt to make an perfect ass of yourself.
Too late.
You already have.
This is what passes for “social discourse” these days? Accusing any president of helping terrorists, and enabling murderers: especially when he condemned it all, is an attempt to lie your way into office by scandalous accusation. Prove it. Or quit running for president. Name calling, “Socialist, Kenyan born, blah, blah, blah: the same. And, tactics like “go look it up,” translate into, “shut up, do as I demand, while I can let my BS talking point sink in with your audience.”
More than anything all this should put shame into Mitt’s heart, for his comments, and the company he keeps. For they all shut down debate, and short circuit rational discussion.
Perhaps that’s the intent: no discourse at all.
