I think you misrepresent 60’s liberals. I know you are trying to say we are too polite to deal with the fanatical right wingers, but 60’s liberals and younger folks too are leading strong fights against corporations. We are fighting hard against industrial pollution, for women’s rights, for international justice etc. Actively protesting, getting arrested, chaining ourselves to bulldozers, traveling by the boatload to take emergency supplies into Gaza etc.
I think one of the things the toon does not convey, but should, is comparing the level between the left and the right: The extreme right is relentless, and the only answer to that is to be more relentless, to not put up with the snark and such. But that’s a hard concept for one toon to convey. Maybe Doonsbury might come close, but that’s not Namrak’s style. I suppose we need both.
