FRIDAY, April 3 (HealthDay News) — Treatment with the active ingredient of marijuana, ?9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), can destroy human and mouse cancer cells by stimulating autophagy, the natural process leading to cell death, according to a report in the April 1 issue of the Journal of Clinical Investigation.

I have several questions about this study, but the most important is: if THC can cause cell death, what does this say about casual usage? Do you think this good news? Do you think the study either bogus or not enough information yet?

I do believe our approach to post hasn’t been an honest one, but neither necessitates legalization, or keeping it class one. I have my own concept of how pot should be dealt with as a society, but I will post that during the debate that follows.
