Last week televangelist Jim Bakker was hit with a cease and desist order from the New York Attorney General’s office. Now, the FDA and FTC are following suit and have ordered him to “immediately cease making false claims” that his much-touted “Silver Solution” kills the coronavirus, Right Wing Watch reports.

The Food and Drug Administration and the Federal Trade Commission have sent Bakker a letter informing him that he is to “immediately cease making all such claims” and has given him 48 hours to “review your websites, product labels, and other labeling and promotional materials to ensure that you are not representing your products for a COVID-19 related use for which they have not been approved by FDA and that you do not make claims that misbrand the products in violation of the FD&C Act.”
