 Damn.
   Damn.
       Damn.

By Ken Carman
We should have known when he and his closest: blood related, advisors decided to send a shill over to destroy the post office when it Inspectionwas so obvious the intent was to wreck the PO and voting via mail in the time of COVID. After all, if it was so bad it would self destruct, right? Increase security on the receiving end if he was so concerned, not kneecap the nation’s mail service. A service in the Constitution.
We should have known when he kept downplaying COVID once he and his blood related advisors found out it hits blacks more than others: a constituency that tends not to vote for him.
We should have known when any result except him being reelected would supposedly mean it was stolen. Making, and hinting, at these kinds of claims LONG before the first vote was cast in BOTH elections he ran in.
We should have known that any behavior that came even light years away from close to this by a candidate of the other major party was something they wouldn’t tolerate, like back in 2000.
Combine this with the leader of the Senate only allowing Republican bills be brought to the floor. Him and his minions supporting Trump’s behavior. All the tricks to prevent appointments yet rush them through at the last moment. It becomes obvious they feel SO entitled. Entitled to a one party dictatorship.
This has gone on for 4 years, tolerated so long it’s boiled down to a toxic stew intended to poison our representative form of governance. It’s NOT that Trump wants recounts, to challenge, or even the in your face won’t concede tude. All that is bad, but tolerable. Barely. But tolerable.
What is not tolerable is the AG assigning himself arbiter of the election: surely preselecting people who will decide exactly what Trump wants them to decide: and the facts be damned. Just make up &$#!, like he does.
What is not tolerable is refusing to release funds for transition. Surely this can be done and the election investigated. In a non-partisan way. Something you KNOW he doesn’t want. Or his lawyer; pretend AG, who should be BARR-ed from practicing law henceforth.
What is not tolerable is setting up for a his second term. Lawsuits with absolutely no proof, just claims.
What’s not tolerable is Biden and his team are blocked from intelligence briefings and what’s supposed to be shared with any president elect. Doing this doesn’t mean Trump and company can’t continue to challenge the election. It does mean, for example with COVID, the blocking hurts the nation, can kill people… COVID… another 9/11-like attack.
That’s a partial list. You probably know the rest.
I have been saying for a while now is that Trump, Mitch and much of the Republican Party’s goal is to turn America into a one party dictatorship with, at best, a two party façade. DAMN, I hate being right. Imagine this: all these poor cases do what they have been doing in court… failing. In December THE Court picks one up and his loyal puppy dogs give it to Trump. Due to the latest addition. Who if she was any true justice at all should absolutely should recuse. But you KNOW Trump demanded loyalty.
No justice should EVER be ‘loyal’ to ANY president.
What kind of rule would all this set up?
What did I just type? Oh, yeah…

A one party dictatorship with, at best, a two party façade.

Simply put: any president who behaves like this, has his subordinates act like this, cannot be allowed to win. No candidate should lose the presidency via empty, nuisance, lawsuits and noise making. No election should be decided via an army of brownshirts trying to interfere, attempts to break in to stop the voting, making death threats. Conspiracy theories can’t be allowed to conquer rule of law.
 THIS MUST STOP.
