They truly must miss their daily diet of hate tweets. So the bullies have to find SOMETHING to entertain their 12-year-old beat up the kid on the bike thirst. Has Coca-Cola released the version of 7Up called Bully Bubble Up: the Thirst Quencher? The blood from beatings being the main ingredient.
Hey, I think I found one internet ploy meant to replace the daily Trumpian hate bait; which I wouldn’t be surprised for a moment if was Russian sponsored. The meme usually has some phrase like, “Raise your hand and say why you like President Biden!” Anything to punk non-Trumpers into thinking they are entering a comfort zone.
This one, if I had looked carefully I would have noticed, had a small label on the left, “Real American.” Hmm… my family has been here since 1633, we served in all the wars… sure seems I qualify. Oh, but I didn’t realize. Political correctness as defined by the Reich-ish of the Right and Trumpers offers only one qualification. Essentially: “Agree or no.”
I honestly don’t remember the actual question. My comment: mild. It may have been the Biden thing, which would then have been the semi stock answer I give. Well, ‘stock’ for me. I truly can do without the weekly, “Because you’re a bad reporter” non-answers to easy answer questions, the daily drama, the nasty tweets.
I should have added his obvious lies; like the insurrectionists were nice to the Capitol police, even kissed them.
I wouldn’t have added his intent on destroying all agencies; making them as loyal to him as most of Hitler’s people were, though I could have.
I wouldn’t have added how the US government was treated like his personal cash cow.
I wouldn’t have added that his constant preening on the national stage made me think of the guy in the park with his trench coat open, rubbing himself constantly… because he thinks everyone has to see, has to hear..
Why bother? Trumpers wouldn’t get it. Bullies rarely do. In fact they enjoy it. For those reasons, and many more, best to keep it simple.
Within not even half an hour I had 260 responses, starting with about three positive (funny how it’s arranged like that) then almost all, “You’re an idiot,”-like comments. One poster posted, “I don’t know where your getting information from.” I responded, “You’re.” Sorry. I was being funny. Someone else had already responded with one out of maybe 3 or 4 positive responses out of well over 260, “Certainly not OAN, Newsmax or FOX.”
B*****d beat me to it. A joke. Thanks for the support kind sir.
There was one post in that thread that listed how horrible things were under Biden. I responded to that with gentle counter views. I did get a chuckle out of one part of the poster’s response: “Men don’t belong in women’s bathrooms.” To which I responded all bathrooms should have lockable stalls and that solves the issue. Perhaps, for fun, I should have added, “Would also solve the long lines to the Lady’s Room. Now let’s address the REAL scandal and change how bathrooms are labeled. There is no such thing as a ‘Mens Room.’ ‘Men’ is already plural.”
How strange after all these years the English major pops out of me every once in a while. always an odd birthing, I admit.
Yes, 260 mostly insults within 30 minutes, most of them equal to “Your momma wears army boots?” Such is the state of discourse these days, and about as thoughtless because these days many kids would be proud their “Momma wears Army boot.”
Not just the right I admit, but Trumpers surely hold the prize for the most frequent, simplistic, insults for the past 4 ½ years, just like their hero. I always got a kick out of how the former president would get in an insult war with people like Never Trumper Rick Wilson. Trump would always lose. The bullies when I was a kid were far better. His insults always about as clever as a dirty bar of soap.
Dang, see? Now I’m doing it!
But, really, “Pocahontas” is an… insult? After being kidnapped and raped by white men she still helped settlers and married an Englishman. If only the Donald had a 10th of the integrity of Pocahontas. I mean either: historical or who was the target of his supposed his insult. At least the origin of his label was clever, though wrong: “Fauxcahauntas.” Warren actually does have native heritage, just not as much as she was told growing up.
Given that bad ‘standard,’ for those of us born before DNA testing became so common, wouldn’t almost all of us be “faux” something?
So just be aware. There are trick troll-based polls and posts out there. The fact they are sponsored makes me wonder by who? And would my commentary here possibly be… Putin… him in his place?
