Im simply dying to see how Karen Hughes digs her way out of the statements she made regarding the role she played in the White House. The quote was I worried about how that would make us look in the eyes of the world. ‘That’ being torture.
It seems perfectly rational to the News Pauper for Karen to attempt to distance herself from the Bush misadministration, what with all the heat lately, by claiming to have tried to use her influence to stop torture. I fully realize that the entire staff has been popping up to protect their old boss, but this one seems different. It isnt part of the campaign of distractions; its a window into the world these people lived in at that time.
Yeah, sure Karen, you tried to stop the torture. You worried.
Did your boss show you the daily bible quotes on the cover sheets of his daily war comic book? When you worried, did it ever click that you really should have been worried about what is more and more appearing to be a descent into the Inquisition? Everything about the entire administration was conceived and executed in the dark shadows of election theft and theft in general. The concentration of avarice and greed in the rooms of the White House, where Yes Men and loyal Bushies failed upwards and upwards, is being exposed now as you must have known it would be.
There are more and more speculations being presented that we havent seen the worst of what you and your companions have done. The manipulations have nearly come to an end it would seem. Your permanent majority and corporate backers, your lobbyists, your media, have deserted you.
It is probably obvious to you that I am literally choking with the epithets I desire to spew at you, Karen. That you allowed yourself to be prostituted by a group of torturing cowards who have fabricated every part of their identity staggers the mind. The glory of wealth and power cannot protect now you from the fate that awaits you here and in the life to come.
It is time to come clean. How bout a nice slice of some immunity pie? You are in the enviable position of being someone who can bring the whole thing out into the light where it is straining to arrive already. With a little help from you, you can avenge your honor by telling what you know about how a little man from Crawford became the most powerful idiot the world has ever known! Cmon, Rove just used you! Rumsfeld? Cheney? Those dudes trotted you out to use your femininity! Hiding behind skirts is what these guys dothey were never that into you.
