I understand: when it comes to columnists, or bloggers if you prefer, I am probably near the bottom of any pyramid consisting of the most unread, or at least ignored. But I have been responding on Facecrack (a friend’s term for Facebook), that because of his brutality in Ukraine Putin needs a colonoscopy with a drone.
    Damn, does someone in Ukraine actually pay that much attention what I say, what I write?
    A conceit.
    Going deeper into the topic I do disagree with talkers on the left, and pols, who are outraged: IF Ukraine actually did this. I seriously doubt they did. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is yet another case of the Putin Propaganda Machine’s sloppy efforts to misdirect, misinform, make them look like the victim.
    Do I feel bad about it if I did inspire them, if it’s NOT some propagandistic BS? If, even in just the smallest way, I encouraged this drone attack?
    HELL NO.
    You know the list of this mass murderer’s, and kidnapper of children’s, crimes. Putin doesn’t just have his opposition poisoned, he poisons the world stage. If anyone deserves a drone-ectomy Putin is one of the top drone award candidates, if not number one. And I’m sure you know Putin has had Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his family targeted, on the top of the list for elimination. And one must ask, “Could this be an attempt by those in his own military to rid themselves of this vile, murderous, worse than piece of human garbage?”
    I tend to lean towards an attempt at creating anti-Ukraine propaganda. Note where the drone exploded and the challenge of getting a drone that far inland.
    But when it comes to responding to bullies I am of the Ender Wiggin philosophy. Ender, from Orson Scott Card’s Ender’s Game, learned from his brother Peter’s brilliant, brutal, bullying that the only way to stop in male world a determined bully is to out bully them. If they hit you very hard once hit them harder more than once, make them understand their actions have severe consequences.
    I know, I know, goes against most mother’s not so sage, not so wise, advice. All of which make the bullying worse.
    From my own experience all the “be their friend,” “avoid them,” only makes it worse and more brutal.
    And, yes, male bullying definitely differs from female. More likely to kill you.
    Putin needs to know Ukrainians will take the war to him. Needs to know that his own brutality can and will bounce back on him.
    This is war. No matter what lies Putin has tossed out NOT A WAR UKRAINIANS ASKED FOR. Nor did those who have lined up against his blood drenched invasion ask for this war. This is an attempt to conquer a country Putin has no right to. But we do know he won’t stop at Ukraine if we Neville Chamberlain Putin.
    I will type the “hands off and let them handle it with help” approach we are doing is necessary. But if I were those who are responsible for responding I would counter some threats. Like responding to Putin’s constant threats to go nuclear by making it clear to Putin those of us on the sidelines will respond worse than in kind if he takes it there.
    Remember The Cold War? You know why World War III DIDN’T happen? Because both sides knew the other would respond in kind.
    If this makes me a warmonger, in this case, I’m OK with that.
