Perhaps the greatest sin of the late 20th century and the current 21st century, so far, is the weaponization of God. But not only has it been weaponized, it has been institutionalized beyond the recognition of Jesus, monetized, politicized to the point it no longer represents Jesus, but a hybrid worldview of Paul, intermixed with authoritarianism. It is the sad mixture of technology, music, blind faith, and 1984.

On the passing of Pat Robertson, of Jerry Falwell Sr., it is a good time to take a good look at where the Leadership of the Evangelical Church has taken its membership. The incredible axis of evil, the vortex of authoritarian politics, tsunamis of money, and political power, have created a mind-numbing machine, based on the best interests of the wealthy church leadership and the Billionaires they want to be.

“God’s truth” has become synonymous with the twisted interests of the leadership. That they seek control, in their concept of God’s name, for very Earthly reasons. The true stories of Hillsong Church, Jerry Falwell Jr., several televangelists, sex abuse in churches, and the fleets of cars, planes, and mansions, they seek and have. Show a very different story, indeed.

I heard from one of my friends at the dog park, that all of the smoke that has made the Northeast so miserable in recent days, was the gates of hell opening for Pat Robertson. Personally, I think it has more Earthly reasons but I understand the sentiment.

But there is also a defining truth here, these men and some women, have only succeeded because people wanted to hear their message of hate. That it was alright to be them, and fear/ hate anyone different from them. I can’t believe that when the Universe began the process that would become us, that it did so for us to become this… Evolution and the Foundation!
