Both my wife and I are furious about the rabid dog media, pundit and pol approach to Biden after the first debate. I suspect there may not be another. Why would Trump bother?
Anyone who has serious questions about Biden’s aging condition needs to watch the long, harassing, annoying interview with Lester Holt.
Holt obviously had an agenda: to humiliate Biden and get him to step down from the race. Joe not only kept up with him but gave Holt more hell than Holt gave him. He did make one minor mistake. In that long of an interview not unexpected. And of course you know what the media focused in on, right? Certainly NOT the rest of Holt’s pathetic grilling and interrogation methods he used on Biden where Joe did better than hold his own. Of course not. You know where Biden answers the question and Holt keeps slightly rephrasing the same accusatory, demanding, questions.
Now to the main question…
The history of president stepping down from running for a second term is HORRIBLE for his party election time. And it’s pretty damn late even if it wasn’t that bad. All the pundits and pols painting a rosy picture of what would happen after he steps down are practicing historical idiocy. LBJ not running and who won? Even worse he resigns like Nixon did as some suggest. Were yous guys and gals off world when Nixon resigned? When Ford ran? Maybe you didn’t notice because you just blasted off from up Ur(own)anus-es?
It’s actually the OPPOSITE of what those who frame him stepping aside as the only way to defeat Trump. It probably the best way for Trump to win historically. One might think they WANT Trump to win.
So now you know where I stand. I suppose Biden could say he’ll make it like a co-presidency, if that would satisfy the pack of blood sensing predators hunting him. I doubt it. The ravenous pack wants blood.
But he does step back, what then? Does it surprise you I have a plan?
Of course it must be Kamala if there’s any hope of salvaging the presidency for the country, and saving us from the “dictator on day one” one. Wiping the slate clean would be even worse. Not even the Republicans did that once it was Ford.
May I suggest a Harris and Pete Buttigieg?
I know, I know, a non-white president and a gay guy? YES! You want to expose the weak underbelly of the hate everyone but us MAGA movement? As long as Dems use judo on Republicans it would work well. You know, use their own hate filled rhetoric to expose them for who they are?
I know, it sure as hell would be best if we don’t go there. But among the wreckage created by the media and the jackals who seek to tear Biden down I find no other opportunity for hope if Biden steps back.
