This really pisses me off – along with the reports of twittering -sorry tweeting – during the state of the union. A. – it’s rude.
B.- I’m paying you people to run the country not play solitaire.
This is apparently what goes on in college classrooms now. Don’t teachers walk around the room anymore?
Sorry – I’m ranting – but the average joe/josephine who’s trying to make a living would get fired for this.
Exactly, Ana. When I think of the jobs I’ve had, and people I know have had, where they begrudge you a 10-minute break to sit down after you’ve been standing for three hours straight, or dock you for every minute over your half-hour lunch break, or listen in to your phone calls to make sure they aren’t personal, or interrupt your bathroom breaks because they think you’ve been ‘in there’ too long, it’s especially galling.
It’s also aggravating that they passed the 400-page small-print Patriot Act without reading it, but a large-type 1,900-page health care bill that might actually help ailing people — that the GOP has to delay so that the members can read it. That’s BS — they aren’t reading anything because they already made up their minds — they’re against it no matter what it says.
