It’s something Republicans have been doing since at least Nixon. It started with trying to run foreign policy behind a president’s back, where Nixon’s people negotiated with the Vietnamese. Promising that if elected Nixon would give them a better deal. Yeah, Vietnamization.
How did THAT work out for ya, Vietnam and war supporters?
Then behind the back of Carter for releasing the hostages. The type of tactics that led, eventually, to arming and training those who attacked us on 1/6.
Once again, how did that work out for us as a nation?
Why it’s almost as if Republicans were bad at solving things and negotiations long before Trump rode down his golden poop chute into the presidency.
Once again, how did that work out for us as a nation? I know, I know, we want to be the “nice” party that follows rules and precedent. How is THAT working… yeah, you KNOW what I was about to type, right?
Why it’s almost as if Republicans were bad at solving things. While their tactics gain them power and positions the opposite of solving things and helping the people is always the result. As I have been pointing out this started long before Trump rode down his golden elevator poop chute into the presidency.
Yet, while these horrendous tactics did indeed help hack the vote, hack their way into the presidency, they never can get enough of them.
No punishment forthcoming they moved on to actually hacking the vote any way they could. Does it matter to them that you can’t have a true representative form of governance when any one side gets to decide who gets to vote and who doesn’t?
No, of course not, no more than it bothers those who have taken over the party that they are no longer a political party, more a cult of Trump. Indeed, they celebrate it like happy Jonestown members preparing the barrel of Flavor-Aid.
Only their plan it to force everyone to drink, to poison a nation and anything/anyone NOT MAGA ass kissing. Create an autocracy of MAGA. Trump won’t live forever. You know, like the Nazi empire was supposed to last a thousand years. One hopes for the same result, only not as blood drenched messy.
I would not put it past the new/old administration eventually ordering the military to go and and open up fire. Make Kent State look like a tiny, friendly, picnic. I can already see the troll memes, probably out of Russia, supporting it all.
The list of how they purges is, and was, long and obvious, Like computer programs that compare names in different states and then those who most likely belong to groups of citizens who don’t tend to vote your way get purged. If you’re Joe W. Jackson, any name typically black, or from some other group that tends not to vote for them. If you’re Joe Q or Joe J. Jackson; one in TX, one in FL, both lose the right to vote. Crosscheck was one of the first programs of this type. And every time one is revealed, then knocked down, another springs up like some bad fevered LSD trip where evil monsters get crushed then just pop up again.
Not good enough? Close polling stations in politically inconvenient areas, require picture ID’s and not inform voters where to get them, make them pay for them (poll tax), insist on a driver’s license… not every voter has one or needs one, like in Democratic voter rich NYC.
Not good enough? Have mail boxes designed that rip off stamps for mail the size and shape of of mail in ballots. (Oh, the De… JOY of it all.) Send out cards that are confusing, or look like ads, to areas that tend not to vote for you.
    This is called “caging.”
Still not enough? Do what Georgia did: empower citizens to create lists of people they think shouldn’t have the right to vote. Some of these lists listed thousands. The voters automatically get taken off the rolls. As with many of these tactics the voters are NOT informed. They find out when they get to the polls and, at best, get a placebo ballot. Otherwise known as “provisional.” How many of these get counted? Mostly NOT.
What’s next? If you are a true patriot: NO MATTER WHAT PARTY, enough is enough. NO ONE has ever proved there are massive numbers of noncitizens voting. An unproven, politically convenient, accusation. A OBVIOUS LIE that’s used to purge politically incorrect voters. No proof needed. The voter, who may not know or been informed, must prove they have the right to vote: guilty until proven innocent. Busloads of, or even many individual, illegal aliens risk being found out by being screened before voting? PROVE IT.
We need an investigation, we need an investigation now. How about many in many states too? Investigate, investigations, of past and present tactics, how they have affected the vote, who has instituted them and if they have essentially committed caging, even treason. An investigation far more intense than 1/6 or 9/11. One with serious teeth. And how many of these incidents were CAUSED by the intentional hacking of the vote.
The Bush administration knew the Clinton administration was looking into plans to do just what was done on 1/6. They ignored it. LBJ and Dirksen knew about Nixon’s people doing foreign policy with Vietnam. There has been so much evidence of hacking the vote.
People need to go to prison. No Garland-like ignore it all, put it off until it’s politically inconvenient to do so.

The end of Vietnamization is a good example of how Republicans plans for a nation almost always end.
