Very few people get much time off at the holidays. Retail employees are working ever more of them as Christmas Thanksgiving day etc are eaten into to feed the maw of capitalism.
Of course emergency services and I hope they get good overtime pay for it.
I know quite a few livestock farmers who will be working the holiday. Not the Big Ag guys of course. They have “peeps” to do that for them. Often people who don’t dare make a “peep” about it.
