At least they’ve come so far as to accept the existence of dinosaurs. In the 70’s a fellow church goer told me it was heresy to believe in dinosaurs because they were never mentioned in the Bible.

There are a whole lot of things the Bible doesn’t mention. That has nothing to do with whether they exist, or existed, like gravity, magnetism, atomic structure.
Another response, “It doesn’t mention splitting the atom either, maybe you could try telling poeple in Hiroshima that’s a figment ofL their imagination.”
