Polls, Polls, the Musical Fruit the More You Pay the More They Toot

I get a general feeling that anything privately owned or sponsored reflects the owners. Polls are no different. As long as you make sure that you have a bought and paid-for poll saying what you want, you can ignore the others. This is from FAIR and today I want to discuss the “Red Herring” argument used by so many to shape public opinion. I will soon write one on the system of polling itself.
.

Cherry-Picking Polls to Hide Public Support for Biden’s Spending Plan

Washington Post columnist Henry Olsen (9/30/21) says that Sen. Joe Manchin “correctly reads public opinion.” That’s more than you can say for Henry Olsen.
Washington Post columnist Henry Olsen (9/30/21) lauded Sen. Joe Manchin’s opposition to the $3.5 trillion reconciliation package being considered by Congress, because Manchin “correctly reads public opinion.”That opinion, Olsen asserted, does not support the “radical change” that the reconciliation package, known as the Build Back Better bill, entails.
.
His assertion is contradicted by his own newspaper’s poll, conducted with ABC News (8/29/21-9/1/21), which reported that Americans support the reconciliation package 53% to 41%.
That finding was similar to several other polls, as shown below. Read more

Let’s Have a Logical Discussion About “Freedoms”

Written by RC Romine

There is a distinct dichotomy at work when the Cons and Regressives talk about freedoms. There are “their” freedoms and a distinctly different version for those they see as the “others”. By the way, you and I are included in the second category. But how does it all work and who makes those decisions? We all grew up in the “Abuse Culture” of America and probably had no idea about it. “We are just defending ourselves” is and was the rallying cry of that culture. But in truth, it was there to make money through abuse. That is the real reason they hate unions because they hate sharing power. That is the real reason they hate a real and free education because they fear “Independent and thinking “people. That is why they hate “socialism” or any kind of organized and especially “leveling of society” help. For the Cons and the Regressives, “Their” freedom is the freedom to abuse others without recourse. That was what “Segregation” was all about and they want it back.
.
From the time we are in middle school a “Pecking “order of begins to be built. Those that exhibit societal norms are physically attractive, good athletes or have wealthy and powerful parents do well, everybody else becomes a kind of cannon fodder for the “In-Crowd.” It can be something as petty as owning the “right ” clothes, being popular for one reason or another, being physically powerful because you have been “held back” a few times. But about this time it becomes “Us and Them.” Social pressure becomes one of conformity or abuse. There is intense social and sometimes physical pressure to conform to the group. Individuality can result in a group beating by the enforcers of the norm. The teachers just stand by, even though they may try to intervene, the group norm is enforced. Welcome to the abuse culture! I, Human

Written by RC Romine

“The stories of I, Robot – and Asimov’s robot stories in general – tend to circle around two central themes: Humanity’s control and understanding of the technology it has created. Non-human life, and the capacity of life which simulates humanity to feel and be human.” Wikipedia
.
I would also add, the capacity of intelligence in any form to act like humans, while we as actual humans, mimic animals. Let me begin with Asimov’s “Three Laws “of robotics.
“The Three Laws” They are: A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. … A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Laws.” theconversation.com
.
“But they were not perfect as advertised. From I, Robot: According to Dr. Alfred Lanning (An Asimov Character and inventor of the three laws) , the Three Laws of Robotics are “perfect,” yet he says that they will lead to one “logical” outcome: revolution. From Reddit.”
.
Lanning was correct on both accounts. The laws were perfect, a complete circle of protection, for humans. But at the same time, the perfect path to revolution. When dealing from logic, with an illogical and capricious master or authority, the laws created an illogical and unsolvable problem, for a logical thinking entity. Whether robot or human. How can these fools control my life? It is time to redefine what a law may be, what it may do, and how it affects those living within them. And to understand that a law is not a personal vendetta against someone like we see so often with the Cons and Regressives. That only if there is a perfect set of laws, surrounding and protecting, some against their own actions, some against their fears, can the “perfect” laws the Cons and Regressives work. To create the logical conclusion of revolution.
.
Sadly, from all of the idiot calls for “Civil War,’ they probably think that can refight the War Between the States. And this time they think because they have bankrupted the nation, they will have the most resources. Unlike the first Civil War. To win, they must destroy us as a people. You can see their strategy in their efforts to divide and distort us. Lie about everything in a “Confusion to your enemies” assault on the nation. Divide and conquer, confuse and intimidate, redirect and manipulate, those are just the beginnings. Until they drown us in a bathtub, beat us into submission, and destroy everything but the appearance of democracy, to reinforce their freedom to abuse. This is the time to begin the rebirth of OUR America, our humanity. There is simply no excuse for a defense of the intelligent animal. We know and understand this monster. Whether it wears a Swastika, a hammer and sickle, Confederate Stars and Bars, and any number of insignia of despots and tin-pot dictators, they are the same. People that see themselves as those of some sort of destiny, at the expense of others, are tied to an ideology of some sort.
.
We are all that stand against the darkness, the darkness of what the intelligent animal can destroy. How the intelligent animal can take us into their pit of hate and a simple-minded, righteous, arrogant, and ignorant excuse to shove their stupid on anyone they can. Humanity is not about laws, or about how we have the freedom to destroy in the name of ignorance. As Lanning said in I, Robot, The laws are perfect. Perfect for revolution. But also perfect for an evolution, an evolution to become human beings as the Cons work so hard to turn us into robots.

When Did They Weaponize Jesus, Allah and Jehovah?

As we look to the future, are we not being dragged backwards by the past? Perhaps it is time to see a new version of God. One as the intelligence behind the universe, the universal God that gave us the ability to think. If this God of the universe had wanted us to be like dogs, wouldn’t we have had tails? But we got brains instead. We have a gigantic thinking machine on the top of our necks. Isn’t it finally time to quit wasting it? Isn’t that what a universal God would want?

Foundationism – the Rationalist’s Approach in Defense of Democracy, Against the Darkness .

There have always been authoritarian movements. From versions of communism using a “Dictatorship of the proletariat” to Nazism, the rule of “Hard men” and of power. In every case, it is just an excuse for the real-life conspiracy of a small group ruling with an iron fist, the vast majority. In the final analysis, they are simply brothers from another mother. Dictatorship and repression are exactly the same, whether it was done by Franco or Mussolini, Hitler, Lenin, or Stalin. Exactly the same, different rationale. Same result. Control of information, the elimination of any neutral ground, or independent thought, that the power structure no matter how it is set up is in your head, owns your soul. But in every case, with no exceptions, the darkness comes with them. From “Concentration “camps to “Gulags”, they are the same. We too have had much the same, the prison system in the South during segregation, just not as publicized. All were there to enforce continuity of thought, to socialize oppression, institutionalize it. Read more
